Logline

Day and night people dig tundra with excavator buckets and bulldozers, tear frost soil with dynamite, turn thousand tons of solid to get coil from the Earth’s interior. Everybody wants to leave for the “big land” but almost everybody stays here. Endless cold, monotonous work and wish to work out the “northern seniority” lead to the decrease of attentiveness and self-preservation. After another mine disaster, having buried their fellows, workers head for the cut face.
