Film by Alina Rudnitskaya got Grand Prix in Poland
The feature-length black-and-white documentary “Blood” by Alina Rudnitskaya got the Grand Prix at the CameraImage - the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography in Poland. This festival mostly focuses on the avant-guard films and new traditions of the cinematography.

Synopsis
The film portrays the regular days of the mobile blood transfusion station in Russia. A fully equipped van travels across a Russian region, stops by small towns and villages and collects blood from the local donors. Lots of people are lining up to donate their blood, because for many of them this is the only way to make some extra money - every donor gets paid about 850 Russian roubles ($15). The black-and-white film raises important questions about cost of human life and survival.
